Audit Manager

Scott began his audit career in 2019 with Moore, progressing from Associate to Assistant Manager before joining Monahans in 2024 through the Moore South West merger. Before moving into accountancy, he spent three years teaching English as a Foreign Language in Spain, bringing a different perspective and strong communication skills to his role.

Scott specialises in audit, with a particular interest in lease accounting and impairment. He enjoys the technical side of audit, helping clients work through complex accounting issues and explaining them in a practical, straightforward way.

Scott believes a well-run audit should be organised, efficient and collaborative. He knows that an audit is often carried out alongside the day-to-day demands of running a business, so he keeps clients informed throughout the process and works hard to make it as straightforward as possible.

One of the things Scott enjoys most about audit is that there is always something new to learn. The profession is constantly evolving, giving him the opportunity to develop his knowledge while helping clients tackle new challenges.

Scott is a Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Outside work, Scott is an avid reader with a particular interest in English Literature. When he’s not working his way through a good book, he enjoys tackling DIY projects and spending time with his wife.
