James has worked in accountancy for more than 25 years and joined Monahans in 2016. He specialises in supporting charities, academies, registered social landlords and other not-for-profit organisations across Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset.

Many of the organisations James works with are navigating increasing regulatory and governance requirements. Alongside audit, accounts and independent examinations, he provides governance reviews, trustee training and specialist advice on VAT, Gift Aid, Corporation Tax and Capital Gains Tax, helping organisations make informed decisions while remaining focused on their purpose.

James enjoys working with organisations that make a positive difference in their communities. He takes time to understand the challenges they face, whether that’s supporting day-to-day decision making, helping organisations adapt to change or strengthening governance for the future.

James is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA).

Away from work, James can often be found searching out a great cup of specialist coffee, taking photographs or heading out for a walk in the countryside.
