Martin first joined Monahans as a graduate trainee in 1989, qualifying with the firm before spending a period with a national practice. He returned in 1995 and has been with Monahans ever since, becoming a Partner in 1999 and leading teams across the Swindon and Bath offices.

An audit specialist and Responsible Individual (RI), Martin has previously headed the firm’s audit function and served as Head of Ethics. Today, he works with owner-managed businesses, UK subsidiaries of overseas companies and Buy-to-Rent clients, combining audit expertise with wider business and tax advice.

Martin believes good advice starts with understanding the bigger picture. Alongside supporting businesses, he enjoys getting to know the people behind them, helping owners make informed decisions for both their business and their wider financial affairs.

Martin is a Fellow Chartered Accountant.

Even after more than 35 years in the profession, Martin still enjoys the variety that every new client and every new day brings.

When he’s away from the office, Martin is usually in the garden or, to balance things out, heading for the mountains whenever he gets the chance to go snowboarding.
